Local AI, a little less guesswork

Can I run this?

Big model. Small question.
Find out what fits your computer before you start the download.

01 Pick your model

Use the combined size of the files for one variant, including shards and vision weights. 1 GiB = 1.074 GB. Parameter count alone is not the download size.

02 Meet your machine
Or enter your specs below.

Browsers can reveal some device details. Confirm RAM, GPU memory and free disk space yourself.

Use your installed memory, not a browser estimate.

Where do I find my specs?

Mac: Apple menu → About This Mac for chip and memory; System Settings → General → Storage for disk space.

Windows: Task Manager → Performance → Memory / GPU. Use dedicated GPU memory. File Explorer → This PC shows free disk space.

Linux: Settings → About for memory; your GPU’s vendor utility for VRAM and your file manager for free disk space.

03 A little fine-tuning
Adjust the context memory estimate

A rough allowance of 1 GiB per 4k tokens, not a measured requirement. Architecture, cache precision, images and batch size can change this substantially. Use your runtime’s estimate when available.

Your specs stay in this page. No upload, installation or sign-in.

Under the hood

Same app.
Different appetites.

Bionic and LM Studio run models; they aren’t model families. The exact download, its precision, your context length and the runtime all matter. Two versions of the same model can have very different requirements.

How we estimate fit

Model files + a runtime allowance (at least 1 GiB, or 10% of the files) + your context cache. We reserve the larger of 4 GiB or 15% of system memory for the OS. Dedicated GPUs reserve the larger of 0.5 GiB or 10% of VRAM, with a separate host-RAM check.

We call memory sufficient only with at least 20% of usable memory left. Free disk, when supplied, must cover the files plus a 10% download margin. Unified memory is counted once; system RAM and VRAM are never added. Partial offloading, multi-GPU setups, swap and distributed inference are not modeled.

About the Muse Spark collection

The linked Muse Spark Open models have 816 billion total parameters, with 42 billion active per token. The inactive weights still need storage and memory. Even the NVFP4 download is roughly 496 GiB before runtime and context overhead.
